Elias (Kelner Macêdo) is a soft-spoken young introvert working as a manager’s assistant in a textile factory in São Paulo. Bored with this career track, he longs for something else, but what? Only after he opens up to the factory laborers is he introduced to a whole new world, filled with people who go against the grain and embody the freedom that he craves. Through raucous celebrations in night clubs, on beaches, and in bedrooms, BODY ELECTRIC (Premio Maguey, Best Feature Film, 2017GuadalajaraInternationalFilmFestival) takes us on a visually delightful ride through queer Brazilian nightlife.
